FSX to Prepar3D Migration Tool updated to 1.2

Interface of Migration ToolWe are glad to announce that FSX to Prepar3D Migration Tool has once again been significantly updated. Since this is evolutionary (adding features), not revolutionary update (fixing critical issues), we won’t be spamming your mail boxes with this announcement.

This time, new features are as follows:

  • Orbx installers now supported.
  • Support for EZ Camera Addon has been added. At this stage, this is considered experimental, meaning that it seems to work. Be sure to read the manual.
  • Many Captain Sim aircraft can now be installed to both FSX and Prepar3D at the same time. For addons that are still having issues described in the manual and are at the moment unsupported by Migration Tool, we have added a step-by-step guide.
  • Program buttons and messages renamed to give better idea what they do. The manual also got reorganized.

FSX to Prepar3D Migration Tool updated

FSX to Prepar3D Migration Tool, formerly FSX support for Prepar3D, has now been for clarity’s sake renamed and updated to version 1.1.

So, what’s new?

  • From 1.1 onwards, Migration Tool supports configurations where Prepar3D is installed on drives other than Windows drive.
  • By popular demand, side-by-side installation of FSX and Prepar3D on the same computer is now supported. However, there are certain side effects, see manual for details.
  • And of course, built-in error checking has been expanded.
